This is a wonderful original pen and ink drawing by Cady that appeared in the New York Herald Tribune on Dec. 27, 1955 to illustrate Thornton Burgess' Bedtime Story. The image measures 5 x 6" and is signed by Cady. Captioned in Cady's hand it reads: "'He had come down from the great mountains only because hunger had driven him down." Blacky is standing on a tree covered brach. He's wearing a jacket, hat and a scarf around his neck and it is clearly COLD out There is fine detail. A great Cady/Burgess piece.
