Illus. by the Disney Studios with color endpapers, 12 bright full color illustrations and many b&w's. Although the waddles are not present, with this copy we offer ORIGINAL WADDLE WATERCOLOR FIGURES BY THE DESIGNER FRED VOGES! Included are 2 waddle figures used as prototypes for the book - Mickey Mouse and a Bandit Rooster (the second not used in the book). Each figure is complete in 5 and 4 pieces repectively, but without the metal connections. Instead there are little slats cut in that allow the pieces to stand. Also included is the original letter of provenance describing how these come from the home of Fred Voges, one of the foremost designers of paper and diecast toys. He was involved in the design of Blue Ribbon pop-ups and the rare Waddle books.
