Each letter is on a separate page with text in verse, almost all of which deal with battles and people in the Spanish - American War. Of course "R" is for Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders and "J Stands for Joy / That the Cubans now feel / To be free, and from under / The proud Spaniard's heel." A beautiful copy of a rare military ABC.
